This Barbecue Burger Mix is a tasty Sloppy Joe recipe that my mom made when we were young kids. We all loved them and especially enjoyed sharing them with our neighborhood friends. It was a special treat that we all looked forward to.
Ingredients:- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp white sugar
- 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
- Mix celery, onions, meat and pepper.
- Cook together, then add rest of ingredients.
- Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
- Serve on buns (toasted)
